We care about the environment

Camping Du Nord is situated in the heart of Luxembourg’s beautiful natural surroundings. We believe it is important to protect this environment and continuously reduce our environmental impact. We therefore operate in accordance with the criteria of the EcoLabel Luxembourg.

Our main environmental measures include:

  • We generate electricity using solar panels and store part of this energy in our Pixii battery. This enables us to use our own solar energy as efficiently as possible.
  • Our shower water is partly heated using solar energy.
  • Smart energy management and remotely controlled thermostats help us reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
  • We use energy-efficient LED lighting wherever possible.
  • Charging stations for electric cars are available at the campsite.
  • Our showers have a maximum five-minute timer, helping us reduce water and energy consumption.
  • We provide a water- and energy-efficient dishwasher.
  • We use environmentally friendly cleaning products.
  • We reduce waste and provide facilities for guests to separate their rubbish.
  • We purchase responsibly and work with local suppliers whenever possible.
  • Together with the Öewersauer Nature Park, we support native planting, biodiversity and nature conservation.
  • Goebelsmühle railway station is approximately 700 metres from the campsite. Our app provides information about public transport, walking routes, activities and local facilities.

What do we ask of our guests?

Our guests can also contribute to a sustainable stay:

  • Separate your waste at the designated collection points.
  • Avoid food waste and make responsible purchasing choices.
  • Use the five-minute shower time responsibly and do not leave taps running unnecessarily.
  • Whenever possible, use our water- and energy-efficient dishwasher.
  • Switch off lights and electrical appliances when they are not being used.
  • Do not use electric heaters on camping pitches.
  • Travel by public transport, bicycle or on foot whenever possible.
  • Respect nature and only use breathable or grass-permeable mats on your pitch.
  • The tap water at the campsite is safe to drink, so there is no need to bring disposable water bottles.
